The race starts with 1.5m of forest road to break up the field, then turns onto trail. The next 9.3 miles feature stream crossing and dense wooded trails before arriving at AS#1-Silver Creek.
Leave Silver Creek and immediately head up the Little Quilcene trail, your biggest climb of the day, to Dirty Face Ridge. Enjoy dramatic views of the Olympic Range's Taylor, Baldy and Grey Wolf Ridge. After gaining 3,700' in 3.5 miles, you will reach the Wilderness boundary and get to enjoy some of the fastest single track of the day as you descend to the Rhodies Aid Station.
You don't need to spend too much time at the Rhodies Aid Station as the next 5.2 miles is an enjoyable, mostly downhill forest road to the Deadfall Creek Aid Station. This is a great time to regroup your legs for what is to come-the second biggest climb to the top of Mt Zion.
This lung-burner features some of the steep pitches, but you will be rewarded by the best downhill single track of the day to arrive at the Zion Aid Station(#4)
Leaving Zion, the Sleepy Hollow Trail and carries you towards the finish line. These last five miles are very enjoyable and runnable with only 774' of gain and over 1,000' of decent.
The 50K hosts four well-stocked aid stations and experienced trail runners to help refuel you and get you on your way! Offerings will include SKRATCH LABS hydration drink, GU gels, water, Coke, GingerAle, and a selection of salty, savory and sweet foods. Warm foods, ie. Grilled cheese and ramen noodles will be available at AS # 2, 3 & 4 (

The OM 25K is not to be underestimated! It has a little of everything. Flowy single track, fast forest road running, and a gnarly climb to the summit of Mt Zion for a total of 3,700' gain!
Thank you to the Olympic National Forest for hosting the race!
You will leave Race HQ with a fast 1.5 mile forest road section (to break up the field) before turning onto trail.
Enjoy 3.5 miles of lovely single track on the Sleepy Hollow Trail, including your first big climb, to arrive at #1 Aid Station- Zion. Your crew is welcome to join you here.

The next 3.8 miles of forest road has a few rollers, but is overall downhill to the next aid station. This is a good time to regroup your legs before the monster climb to the top of Mt. Zion!
After leaving Deadfall Creek Aid Station, you immediately start climbing. About a mile in you will get a short downhill/rolling section before starting the last 1.8 mile grind to the top of Mt Zion. A stop on the way to admire the view from the overlook is recommended!
After the summit of Mt Zion, you will hit the best downhill of the day! At just over 2 miles long, this is your chance to really make up some time!
After hitting the bottom of the Mt Zion trail, you will revisit the Zion Aid Station and continue on forest road the short 1.56 miles to the finish line!
The 25K hosts three well-stocked aid stations and experienced trail runners volunteers to help refuel you and get you on your way! Offerings will include SKRATCH LAB hydration drink, GU gels, water, Coke, GingerAle, and a selection of salty, savory and sweet foods.

Withdrawal & Cancellation Policy
We know that sometimes life gets in the way. While we really want to see you at the start line, if you can't make it, give us 30 days notice or more and we will be happy to give you a one-time credit towards next year's race based on the following schedule:
You can drop down in distance at any time until registration closes on UltraSign up-assuming the race isn't sold out-there is no refund or credit.
If you want to bump up in distance, you can also do that at any time until registration closes on UltraSign Up-assuming the race isn't sold out-you will need to pay the difference.
If the race is cancelled, you can be assured it was for some reason outside of our control (weather, fires, etc). We will make every effort to either reschedule or roll over entries to the next year.
Our policy is more forgiving than many other races as we want to be fair and in keeping with the spirit of community-based racing. Please understand that there are no refunds or credits within 30 days of race day as we will have already incurred many of the costs for the race and for each racer.
